CDL Driver (Class B)
Mid-Ohio Food Collective (MOFC) is looking for a Part Time Class B CDL Driver to perform food pickups and deliveries.
Responsibilities :
- Drives truck to perform food donation pickups from retail stores, warehouse & distribution centers, manufacturers, and special events or food drives.
- Delivers food from MOFC to partner agencies in our 20-county service area (includes agency orders, fresh produce, as well as government and special programs).
- Completes documents associated with each pickup and delivery including US Department of Transportation (USDOT) inspections and records.
- Inspects, cleans, and maintains assigned vehicle, completing required USDOT vehicle inspection forms.
- Transports vehicle to / from repair shops
- Operates forklift, pallet jack, and / or electric jacks to load and unload truck at MOFC agency facility or pickup site in a safe manner.
- Participates in special event projects as requested by Transportation Manager.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
High School Diploma / GED requiredMust be 21 years of ageMust possess a valid Class B Commercial Drivers License (CDL) and USDOT medical card1 year minimum of recent verifiable driving experience requiredNo more than two moving violations in the past (3) three years in any type of vehicleNo DOT defined accidents in the last (3) three years in any type of vehicleExperience with food products and refrigerated freight preferredExperience operating forklifts (propane and / or electric) and electric pallet jacks / riders (4ft and 8ft) requiredJob Conditions :
Must work in warehouse environment and in a Commercial Motor Vehicle. Safety sensitive position due to regular interaction with heavy machinery.
Physical Demands :
Must be able to : perform moderate to heavy physical labor (lift 30 lbs. frequently and 75 lbs. occasionally). Daily walking, bending, reaching, pushing and pulling (300 lbs. with use of manual pallet jack.). Frequent standing, walking, lifting, carrying, and reaching. Must work in sub-freezing temperatures for extended periods of time.
