About the Role :

We’re seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented Leasing Processor to join our growing team! This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a structured, task-focused environment and takes pride in completing work thoroughly and efficiently. As a Leasing Processor, you will be responsible for reviewing rental applications, ensuring compliance with housing regulations, and coordinating with applicants and internal teams to move applications forward. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys data review, applicant screening, and contributing to a smooth leasing process.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Process rental applications by verifying all required information for accuracy and compliance
  • Communicate with applicants regarding missing documentation, application status, and next steps
  • Answer applicant phone calls efficiently and remain focused on daily tasks
  • Maintain organized digital and physical application records in accordance with privacy regulations
  • Maintain all application and leasing files, including organizing, securely storing sensitive

documents daily, monitoring files signed out to other departments, and ensuring their timely

return; perform file destruction as required by policy

  • Request cancellations and refunds for inactive applicants on a weekly basis and ensure
  • follow-through

  • Coordinate with leasing agents and property managers on application reviews and approvals
  • Ensure proper documentation for income verification, rental history, and background checks
  • Monitor application timelines and follow up with applicants to reduce delays
  • Generate reports on application activity and leasing data for internal review
  • Identify opportunities to streamline the application process and ensure compliance
  • Qualifications :

  • Experience in leasing administration, property management, or a related field (preferred)
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to analyze applicant data and assess tenant suitability
  • Self-starter who can work independently and stay on task with minimal supervision
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on customer service
  • Ability to stay organized and proactive in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of Fair Housing laws and compliance standards
  • Must adhere to all confidentiality and data privacy regulations
  • Experience with AppFolio is a plus
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Drive, Calendar, etc.)

  • Requirements and Expectations :

  • Work Hours : Full-time, 40 hours per week
  • Attendance : Punctuality is essential. You are expected to arrive by 8 : 00 am to support tenants, managers, and vendors as business hours begin
  • Requirements : Successful candidates must pass a criminal background check, a drug test, and have a minimum 650 credit score
  • PHYSICAL / MENTAL DEMANDS

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, talk and hear. The employee is frequently required to walk, use hands to type data, prepare necessary paperwork, operate business machines as in fax and copy machines, dial the telephone and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and / or move 5-10 lbs. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop or kneel. Responsibilities include corporate office duties.
