Reporting to an experienced Nurse Manager and partnering with a Charge RN and Unit-based Educator, the Telemetry Registered Nurse has no direct reports but may precept. Collaboration includes cardiology, hospitalists, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, and case management, with support from monitor techs, CNAs, and RN Telemetry peers to keep care coordinated and timely.

This cardiac telemetry / stepdown unit spans about 30 beds with 24 / 7 central monitoring, where the Telemetry Registered Nurse helps sustain a focused, professional pace. Expect board-certified cardiologists, dedicated hospitalists, and skilled techs alongside Nurse Stepdown teammates and cross-training to Registered Nurse Stepdown skills that build confidence and agility.

Key responsibilities include focused assessments, EKG strip interpretation, dysrhythmia recognition, safe titration of antiarrhythmics and rate-control drips, rapid escalation, and the Telemetry Registered Nurse’s precise documentation. Additional duties feature evidence-based care planning, medication administration, and heart failure / ACS education. Practice aligns with ANA standards, the state Board, and PFCC principles that honor dignity, information sharing, participation, and collaboration. Growth-minded Registered Nurse Telemetry and RN Telemetry clinicians often pursue ACLS, NIHSS, and PCCN.
