job_description.job_card.job_descriptionThe Quality Assurance Lead is responsible for supporting production processes; maintains a presence on the floor and overseeing QA staff and attending to all questions as they arise Takes ownership of production & quality records Oversees the post-operational inspection to ensure the facility is prepared for an exceptional pre-operational inspection Performs audits on production packets for Quality Assurance Enters trends and pareto information into database Executes ATP and Environmental Swabs, then record data Enforces Good Manufacturing Practices ("GMPs") Trains all department staff on the proper way to complete documents and to follow food safety procedures and protocols Gathers information / production packets as needed for audits or management Assist in lot investigations and processing Administrative duties such as but not limited to filing, distributing paperwork, typing, etc / Filling out / completing PNR's Continuous inspection of entire facility to ensure cleanliness standards are met and maintenance work orders are entered or escalated Minimum two years' experience in quality, in food manufacturing or similar industry Knowledge of HACCP (preferred) Knowledge of PCQI (preferred) Strong computer skills to include Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Ability to track and log measurements Good written and verbal communication skills (Bilingual- English & Spanish a plus+) High school diploma Previous manufacturing experience, preferably in baking Administrative experience, preferably in manufacturing environment Knowledgeable and experienced in general food safety programs and policies- including government regulations, FDA, USDA, AIB, HACCP, GMP, and Allergen Programs Proven ability to work within a team environment Motivated, self-starter Ability to learn quickly and follow direction The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Quality Assurance Lead
Classification : Non-Exempt
Reports to : Quality Assurance Manager
Summary :
This position provides administrative support to the Quality Assurance Department. The Quality Assurance Lead is responsible for in-process sampling of product to ensure that indicated quality specifications are met. The QA Lead must be cross functional in Food Safety to be able to perform in any area needed in the plant.
Essential Functions :
- Pull in-process samples
- Perform visual quality checks and execute measurement checks
- Auditing of production packets for all business segments
- Communicate Quality opportunities with production and quality stakeholders
