Role Overview :
The Field Operations Manager will oversee all operational functions within a branch, ensuring efficiency and quality in service delivery.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage dispatchers, service technicians, drivers, and yard personnel.
- Ensure the accuracy of paperwork including manifests, routing tickets, and inspections.
- Monitor service levels and delivery efficiency, recommending improvements for operations and customer care.
- Communicate effectively with various departments to resolve customer service and delivery challenges.
- Maintain optimal staffing levels to surpass customer and operational demands.
- Analyze operational activities and report on metrics such as service levels and routing efficiency.
- Collaborate with the Regional Vice President to develop and execute standardized practices for operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with DOT fleet regulations and maintain accurate logs and records.
- Review time reports and manage employee time-off requests based on operational needs.
- Implement and uphold the branch’s safety program in coordination with Safety and HR departments.
- Drive employee development and conduct performance reviews.
- Foster a positive, safe, and productive work environment.
- Operate company vehicles, including pulling trailers as needed.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
This position has supervisory responsibilities overseeing staff within the branch.
Qualifications :
Associate’s degree or relevant combination of education and experience.A minimum of 5 years of related experience with leadership responsibilities.Proven ability to lead a diverse team effectively.Strong customer service and team-building skills.Excellent organizational and time management abilities.Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.Capability in decision-making and problem-solving.Knowledge of asset maintenance and repair processes.Valid Class C Driver’s License.Experience with multi-stop routing systems and dispatch operations.Proficiency in software such as Navision, Microsoft Office, and logistics tools.Familiarity with interpreting financial statements and managing budgets.Understanding of inventory management for company assets.Physical Requirements :
Ability to sit, stand, and drive for extended periods.Use of hands and fingers for handling equipment and tools.Vision acuity for close and distant objects.Ability to lift items up to 40lbs and push / pull up to 100lbs.Ability to walk for up to 30 minutes at a time.Benefits Summary :
