Hours : 40 guaranteed / week

Department : Cancer Center – Medical Physics

Description :

A hospital-based cancer center in Atlanta, GA is seeking an experienced Travel Medical Physicist for a 13-week assignment. The physicist will support the radiation oncology team, ensuring accurate and safe delivery of radiation therapy treatments.

Requirements :

Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical physics

Certifications : BLS required

Responsibilities :

Perform quality assurance and calibration of radiation therapy equipment

Support treatment planning and dose calculations for patient care

Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards

Collaborate with oncologists, dosimetrists, and therapists to optimize patient outcomes

Maintain accurate documentation of procedures and QA activities

Winter Holiday Requirements :

Travelers must work one major holiday (Christmas Day or New Year's Day) and one minor holiday (Christmas Eve or New Year's Eve).
