Pile Driver

As a Pile Driver, you will be responsible for picking up and placing templates for pile locations, supporting crane activities, and ensuring the timely delivery of piles. You will conduct daily inspections of tools and safety premises and participate in tool box talks to maintain a safe working environment. It is crucial to keep the site clean and organized, and you may be assigned other duties as necessary. The role involves operating hydraulically and diesel-driven pile hammers with fixed or swinging leads to drive various types of piles, including concrete, sheet, H-pile, and pipe pile. Additionally, you will utilize vibratory hammers to drive sheet piling.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and place templates for pile locations.
• Support crane activities and pile deliveries.
• Inspect tools and safety premises daily.
• Attend tool box talks and maintain a safe atmosphere.
• Keep the site clean and organized.
• Operate hydraulically and diesel-driven pile hammers to drive various types of piles.
• Utilize vibratory hammers to drive sheet piling.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

This role requires working from Monday to Saturday, 6am-6pm, with availability needed on some weekends for both day and night shifts. The work is conducted outdoors, requiring the ability to handle exposure to all weather conditions.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norfolk, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $33.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
