Job Description

WHAT YOU’LL DO EACH DAY :

  • Operate Blending and Milling Equipment to meet daily production and quality needs / expectations.
  • Respond to production problems and take appropriate corrective action. Make necessary mechanical adjustments.
  • Operate forklift to move material.
  • Complete required record keeping tasks.
  • Maintain work area and equipment according to the highest GMP’s, SOP’s and safety standards.
  • Be an active member of the Milling / Blending work team with emphasis on teamwork spanning all work shifts.
  • Continually strive for improvements in safety, quality and productivity.
  • Work with minimal supervision; must be responsible and able to timely initiate appropriate work activities.
  • Coordinate activities with Production Control.
  • Operate other packaging machines and / or work in other areas of the plant (in both the wet and dry tea facilities) in response to business needs.
  • Responsible for reporting food safety and quality issues and initiate action, as necessary.
  • Follow all Food Safety guidelines, but not limited to : GMP’sAllergen ProgramQualitySanitationSafetySQF
  • Additional duties and various projects as needed.

    • Qualifications

    Shift Hours : 11 : 00 pm - 7 : 15 AM

    Shift Days : Sunday - Thursday

    Requirements :

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred
  • Must have strong mechanical aptitude / skills
  • Ability to lift 50-60 lbs repeatedly throughout day
  • Ability to be on your feet for shift
  • Good communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Good mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, averaging and percentages)
  • Must be quality and customer service oriented
  • Ability to meet attendance guidelines and work additional hours / OT as needed
  • Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with all contacts both inside and outside the company

    • Compensation & Benefits :

  • New starting wage is $19.00 per hour (commensurate with experience and location).
  • Note that rate could change based on shift schedule.
