Updated 07 / 2025 Primary Purpose : The Graphic Designer is an innovative, forward-thinking, and accomplished layout / design artist who creatively and collaboratively translates ideas, concepts, and messages into consistently powerful and engaging visual expressions for print and digital platforms. This position serves the district by developing graphics for use in digital, print & amp, video media and work with multiple departments to complete complex design projects within specified timelines. Qualifications : Education / Certification Bachelor's degree in graphic design / communications-related area or equivalent experience. Two or more years of graphic design / communications or marketing communications agency experience preferred. Special Knowledge / Skills : Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, etc.) Must be collaborative, creative, show design initiative and innovation, meet deadlines, have strong communications skills (verbal and written), and have a keen eye for detail and editorial / visual design care. Major Responsibilities and Duties : Provides creative support, collaboration to the district for services. Create high-quality district wide graphics and visuals for digital, web, print, and social media. Work with district staff to take design visions and turn them into a reality. Offer expert advice for proper marketing and design choices. Other tasks as assigned by supervisor. Cooperate with district by performing any other duties when asked to do so. Working Conditions : Mental Demands / Physical Demands / Environmental Factors : Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and moving of materials up to 50 lbs. Repetitive hand motions; frequent use of computer and printing equipment. Ability to maintain emotional control under pressure and meet deadlines with frequent interruptions.
