Position Overview :
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Estate Administration Paralegal to lead and manage our estate administration department. The ideal candidate will have 5–7 years of hands-on experience in probate and estate administration, including the preparation of estate tax returns (Form 706) and related filings. This role requires a detail-oriented, proactive individual capable of independently managing complex estate matters while providing leadership and guidance to junior team members. Exceptional salary / bonuses / benefits. Range of 100-140k.
Key Responsibilities :
Oversee and manage all aspects of estate and trust administration, including probate filings, asset collection and distribution, and compliance with state and federal regulations.
Prepare and file probate petitions, inventories, accountings, and final distributions.
Draft correspondence to beneficiaries, financial institutions, and government agencies.
Prepare and file Federal Estate Tax Returns (Form 706) and other tax-related documents; coordinate with tax advisors as needed.
Maintain accurate and organized case files and track key deadlines.
Serve as primary liaison between clients, attorneys, financial advisors, and court personnel.
Supervise and mentor junior paralegals and administrative staff within the estate administration department.
Implement and maintain efficient procedures and best practices within the department.
Qualifications :
Minimum 5–7 years of experience in estate administration and probate, ideally in a law firm or fiduciary services setting.
Strong understanding of probate rules and procedures.
Experience preparing Form 706 and familiarity with estate / gift tax matters is highly preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal practice management software.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate required; advanced certification preferred.
