REPORTS TO : Center Administrator

SUMMARY :

Works collaboratively with the center leadership to develop a work environment that positions Highbridge as “the employer of choice” and endeavors to create a work culture committed to the Mission, Vision and Core Values of the organization. Success is measured in terms of employee satisfaction, development, retention, and achievement of the Company established excellence goals and key performance indicators. Guides center leadership through the Center Talent Acquisition process – attract, screen, interview, select, certify, welcome and on-boarding. Develops Talent Management plans with the center leaders for employee engagement, retention, recruitment, recognition etc. Fairly and consistently supports center leadership in the fair administration of the Highbridge Human Resources policies and procedures, pay practices and collective bargaining agreements if applicable. turnover data, retention data, LOAs, etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES :

1. Demonstrates the highest level of integrity and confidentiality. Maintains personal employee information including but not limited to medical, pay, demographic, discipline, schedule preferences, accommodation requests, etc. in the strictest confidence. Protects company confidential information.

2. Maintains current working knowledge of company and center policies and procedures, pay practices, employee benefits, employment laws (i.e. ADA, FMLA, and FLSA) and communicates regularly with employees to promote understanding and utilization.

3. Coordinates all center hiring needs. Conducts initial interview of job applicants. Ensures required reference checks, criminal background checks and applicant drug tests and physicals (where applicable) are completed along with all other necessary pre-employment and paperwork.

4. Manages and participates in Welcoming Program. Ensures all new employees are trained in time clock procedures and initiates employee badge photo.

5. Participates in the Strategic Workforce Planning process, as directed by Center Leader.

6. Active participation in the Center Retention Plan

7.. Ensures all benefit information is communicated, collected and administered according to deadlines.

8. Establishes and monitors Performance Evaluations schedule for all employees. Counsels managers and supervisors proactively in effective performance management techniques to improve employee retention and productivity.

9. Ensures compliance with company payroll policies and federal, state, local payroll laws

10. Manages FMLA process in accordance with company policy for center employees.

11. Adheres to company compliance program requirements.

12. Investigates causes of employee disputes and grievances as requested and recommends corrective action. May take lead and advise center leaders and department managers on employee investigations as directed and ADA interactive conversations.

13. Creates and maintains individual employees files / records (manual and electronic) as well as Center employee-related files / records including Benefit Accruals, Service Date Adjustments, Licensure / Certification / Education, OSHA, Workers’ Compensation, Unemployment Claims, and Employee Health / Medical Records (i.e. Drug Testing, CPR, Hep B, PPD, Physicals (where applicable), FMLA) according to policy and legal standards. Ensures the quality, accuracy and timeliness of the information.

15. Coordinates Center programs, e.g. Employee Engagement, Workers’ Compensation, Employee Recognition, Employee Communications and government-mandated communication.

16.Participates in Center Manager on Duty Program based on center protocol.

17. Performs other duties as required.

SPECIFIC EDUCATIONAL / VOCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS :

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources / related field and / or 3 years of commensurate experience in Human Resources (Generalist) preferred.

3+ years previous work experience in Human Resources.

Experience in a Union organized building preferred.

Prior experience in healthcare or LTC setting preferred.

Experience using systems and technology to support work activities.

Works flexible hours in order to meet with employees who work 24 / 7; ensures those working evening, night and weekend shifts stay connected.

Must provide verification of TST (tuberculin skin test) as required by state law and in accordance with Company policy. TSTs will be administered at the work site if required.

This position requires that the employee is able to read, write, speak and understand the spoken English language to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our patients and visitors at the work site when responding to their medical and physical needs.

PERFORMS RELATED DUTIES

Interacts with customers, families, visitors, center and Highbridge subsidiary personnel. 2. Carries out other tasks as requested in situations where hands-on intervention / participation may be required.
