SUMMARY : The Digital Data Manager is a key team leader on the BlackHawk E-commerce Team. This leader is responsible for driving the efforts of several team member to gather, import and manipulate the product data that appears on BHID.com. The role will drive the development of processes to achieve greater data accuracy and increase the volume of data being ingested into the BlackHawk systems. Strong people leadership skills, proactive communication, attention to detail, keeping an organized workflow of projects will be required to be successful.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Manages and maintains product information for the company website, and assures content and image files on the website stay up to date and relevant.
- Communicate to all internal stakeholders the progress and priorities for product data improvements on our website.
- Build and lead a team of Digital Data Analysts that execute data enrichment and maintenance processes. Team members include company employees located outside of the United States.
- Utilize the Product Information Management (PIM) and Digital Asset Management systems to ensure complete and accurate product information and product images.
- Support business initiatives related to changing product information while maintaining hierarchy and taxonomy structure.
- Oversee and perform content activities such as data analysis, editing, updating using functions, scripts, formulas and other tools.
- Lead process and data improvement projects.
- Lead the activities of outside service providers who are hired to help execute data enrichment and data model improvements.
- Work with peers and various business partners supporting initiatives.
- Continuously improve and document workflow processes and build new ones as required.
- Commit to and keep an organized project flow within workflow software and give summaries and updates on active projects.
- Keeps current with industry best practices and monitors content activities of competitor websites.
- Perform any miscellaneous assignments as required.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Proven leadership skills to manage teams that execute operational processes with quality and speed.Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.Superior skills working with Microsoft Excel, HTML, SQL and any other tools necessary for the digital data team to scale improvement efforts.Expert knowledge of product information strategies and e-commerce systems and operations.Proven ability to work across a variety of business functions throughout the department.Ability to work independently and in a team environment.Good communication skills, both verbal and written.Experience with Industrial Distribution or MRO product data preferred.Proven experience in managing and analysis of product information data.Skilled at analyzing data and sorting relevant information.5-7 years of experience in related field preferred.Ability to define and document new workflowsSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :
This position leads a team of Digital Data Analysts, including team members located outside of the United States. Some outside resource oversight.
EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE :
Bachelor’s degree in a related field requiredStrong Microsoft Excel and Outlook experience is requiredPrevious experience working with big data, macros, formulas and / or scripts is requiredREASONING ABILITY :
Employee should have the ability to solve analytical problems with outside the box thinking.
