Responsibilities

The Sierra Vista Hospital location, a -bed psychiatric care facility located in south Sacramento, is a full-service mental health facility and a center of support for patients and their families. Since 6, we have offered our clinical expertise to those suffering from emotional, behavioral and addiction problems.

A pharmacy intern is a student who attends pharmacy school and gains hands-on experience working under a pharmacist’s supervision at Sierra Vista Hospital. While working as a pharmacy intern, they will assist in interpreting and entering medication orders, manage drug inventory by restocking Omnicell automated dispensers, learn the process of administering medication to patients and assist nurses and doctors with questions regarding medications.

Qualifications

Education : High School diploma or equivalent. Current enrollment of an accredited pharmacy school required . P1-P2 students preferred .

Experience : One or more years’ experience in either an outpatient or hospital pharmacy preferred .

Licensure : Must be currently licensed as an Intern Pharmacist in California.
