What You'll Do :
Lead quality initiatives from concept through execution, ensuring product and process excellenceAct as an FAA approved DMIR under 14CFR 183.31Facilitate cross-functional investigations and lead CAPA processes that go beyond compliance to real improvementDrive initiatives to improve product quality, reduce defects, and enhance process efficiencyDesign and implement quality assurance processes, including testing methodologies, quality control plans and inspection proceduresMaintain detailed documentation of quality processs, test results and metrics; provide regular reports to management on quality performanceCollaborate closely with R&D, manufacturing and suppliers to build quality into every stage of the lifecycleAssist the Quality Manager in establishing, implementing and maintaining the QMS and other quality functions as needed to ensure compliance to AS9100Mentor and elevate the team, sharing expertise and modeling curiosity, accountability and respectPreferred Qualifications :
Experience in Aerospace and / or automotive manufacturing environmentsSix Sigma Green belt or higherStrong background in precision machiningExperience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP)Strong background with brazing and welding standardsFamiliar with blueprints & GD&T per ASME Y14.5-2009 StandardsWhat You Bring :
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 6 years' experience in Aerospace quality engineeringAbility to interview with FAA for DMIR position within first three monthsExperience with ISO9001 / As9100, or equivalent quality management systemExperience with Configuation management and product life cyclesExpertise in problem-solving tools such as FMEA, 8D, 5 Whys, Fishbone, DOE, SPC, MSAProven success leading cross functional initiatves that move the needleClear, confident communicator who thrives in diverse, collaborative environmentsHigh integrity and ownership mindset - you do the right thing, even when it's hardMust be able to work with ITAR products and related data without restrictionPhysical Requirements :
