Senior A&P Helicopter Mechanic Location : Kansas City, Missouri Schedule : 7 & 7 Sign-On Bonus : Up to $15,000 Overview STS Technical Services is hiring experienced Senior A&P Helicopter Mechanics in Kansas City, Missouri. In this role, you’ll perform hands-on maintenance and inspections on helicopters supporting life-saving missions across the region. Key Responsibilities Perform daily maintenance and inspections to ensure aircraft airworthiness Communicate with Lead Mechanics to coordinate scheduling, technical needs, and manpower requirements Maintain assigned aircraft and manage base inventory levels for spare parts and tooling Certify work performed in accordance with FAA, manufacturer, and company standards Utilize company maintenance systems for tracking, compliance, and documentation Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely maintenance completion Maintain company-provided tools and ensure proper calibration schedules are met Perform other related duties as assigned Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience as a Certified Mechanic Basic communication and computer skills Ability to lift up to 100 pounds Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and background check Preferred Skills (Roving Maintenance Team) Sheet metal repair and / or avionics troubleshooting experience Flexibility to travel frequently with short notice Ability to work night shifts as required Compensation and Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Comprehensive benefits package Shift bonuses and performance incentives Annual Safety and Employee Bonuses Sign-on bonus up to $15,000 Location Requirements Must live within one hour or 60 miles (whichever is greater) of the assigned base Travel between bases may be required Core Values Safety : Dedicated to achieving zero incidents through proactive maintenance and operational standards Efficiency : Focused on smart resource use and sustainable performance Quality : Committed to delivering reliable, high-standard maintenance outcomes Service : Driven by a passion to support customers, communities, and team members About STS Technical Services STS Technical Services is the staffing arm of STS Aviation Group, partnering with top organizations in aviation, manufacturing, defense, and industrial industries.
