Electromechanical Assembler

As an Electromechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for performing new instrument manufacturing activities, ensuring timely release of products, and avoiding back orders. You will conduct visual quality checks on sub-assemblies, perform instrument set-up and calibration, and inspect incoming electrical components. Your role will involve recording information in device history records and maintaining accurate documentation according to Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

Responsibilities

  • Perform new instrument manufacturing activities.
  • Achieve assigned goals and meet unscheduled workload peaks.
  • Conduct visual quality checks on sub-assemblies.
  • Set-up and calibrate instruments.
  • Inspect incoming electrical components and sub-assemblies.
  • Record information in device history records.
  • Identify and report line issues to the Team Leader or Supervisor.
  • Support optimal department conditions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with GDP.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in mechanical and electrical assembly.
  • Proficiency with hand tools and ability to solder small components.
  • Competence in utilizing test fixtures, assembly jigs, and tools.
  • Previous experience in instrument assembly.
  • Ability to work on computers and provide updates using email and Microsoft Teams.
  • Familiarity with blueprints, schematics, and work instructions.
  • Experience with power tools and electronics.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Preferred experience with GDP and GMP environments.

    Work Environment

    The position requires working the 1st shift from 6am to 2 : 30pm in an ESD environment, where adherence to ESD procedures is mandatory.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, California.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00 / hr.
