Residential Estimator

Job Description

One of Texas’s largest privately held real estate development and construction organizations is expanding its estimating team and is seeking a Residential Estimator. You’ll work closely with a Senior Estimator and play a key role in supporting accurate, timely takeoffs and cost analysis across residential projects.

Responsibilities include :

• Preparing estimates for new plans, elevations, and all related plan options
• Participating in prototype walks to validate building practices, materials, and takeoffs
• Coordinating takeoffs for lumber, sheetrock, millwork, brick, windows, and finish hardware
• Reviewing weekly variance reports and updating takeoffs as needed
• Maintaining tracking systems for takeoff requests
• Auditing takeoffs to identify errors or cost-saving opportunities
• Organizing product and vendor information files
• Building strong, fair relationships with trades and vendors
• Field-verifying takeoffs and estimates
• Interpreting construction plan drawings with accuracy
• Supporting additional estimating tasks as needed

Qualifications :

Note : Experience with On-Screen Takeoff or similar systems is preferred — direct experience not required, as training is provided.
