Job Description
As a member of a team of similarly focused colleagues, the Data Systems Administrator is responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and security of IT infrastructure supporting the university community. This role ensures system reliability, assists in the implementation of new technologies, and provides advanced technical support to departmental IT staff. The position will collaborate closely with core infrastructure groups and serve as a liaison with client services groups, helping to align campus technology with institutional goals and user needs. Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and / or experience plus 3-5 years relevant experience in information technologies / computer science as necessary.

Provide system administration and maintenance.Oversee the performance, security, and availability of servers, databases, and related infrastructure.Apply updates, patches, and configurations to maintain system compliance and efficiency.Manage user accounts, rights, and group memberships; administer access controls; and oversee deployment of software.Provide advanced support for escalated issues from departmental technicians.Partner with IT leadership and project teams to design and implement new systems and services.Evaluate technical requirements of new initiatives and develop scalable solutions.Maintain accurate and timely incident logs in approved ticket management system.Write technical and procedural documents as needed for inclusion in knowledge base.Physical Requirements Not Applicable Tools / Equipment Not Applicable
