As an On-Site Instructional Coach at Aspire, you will serve as a resource for the implementation of the educational program and provide training and support for teachers on site within a small school environment where every student is known and valued as an individual. What You Will Do :
- Work closely with the Principal to identify needed resources (. consultants, curriculum materials).
- Facilitate team meetings.
- Support teachers who are applying for National Board Certification.
- Coherent curriculum, instruction, and assessment for teachers across grade levels and courses
- Align curriculum, instruction and assessment guidance to meet achievement targets
- Backwards map curriculum, instruction, assessment from CCSS / NGSS
- Identify regional and school progress monitoring systems, frequency and tools to meet achievement targets
- Participate in regional and school progress monitoring, data analysis and adjustment of strategy and supports
- Participate in Instructional Rounds and analyze data to assess progress across classrooms and adjust materials and training accordingly
- Work with assigned teachers to identify needed skills / techniques.
- Conduct demonstration lessons, hold mini-workshops and professional book clubs, and provide summer
training.
What You Will Bring :
Bachelor's degree, with relevant degree and / or content expertise; Master’s preferred5+ years as a teacher or administratorCA Multiple Subject Teaching CredentialExpertise in elementary and / or secondary Common Core State StandardsDeep knowledge of curriculum development and program designAbility to design systems for standards, curriculum, instruction and assessment alignment that result in higher student achievementKnowledge of adult learning and professional development frameworksDemonstrated command of the intricacies of instruction-assessment cycle and ability to apply this knowledge to cohesive CIA developmentDemonstrated ability to build adult capacityAbility to manage projects including development, implementation and evaluationAbility to communicate proactively, effectively and provide and act on feedbackCompensation :
