Summary

The Leave and Absence Administrator (LOA) is responsible for co-administering the organization's leave programs with our Leave and Absence vendor while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. Provides exceptional support to and collaboration with Payroll, LOA Vendor, employees and HR throughout the leave process to maintain accurate records and facilitate smooth transitions for employees taking leave and returning to work.

This role is hybrid at our Boise HQ office.

Key Responsibilities

Data Review and Validation :

  • Review and validate incoming data and calculations from the Leave of Absence (LOA) vendor to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Calculate or verify calculations for Short Term Disability (STD) payments related to employee leaves.

HRIS Management :

  • Update and maintain leave status records in the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) to reflect current employee leave information accurately.
  • Employee Support :

  • Serve as an escalation point for employees inquiring about the Leave of Absence and / or Short Term Disability process and providing guidance on leave policies and available benefits.
  • Ensure timely and clear communication with employees regarding their leave status, required documentation, and return-to-work plans.
  • Coordination with HR and Management :

  • Collaborate with local HR representatives and managers to coordinate leave process and facilitate smooth return-to-work transitions.
  • Advise managers and employees on the interaction of leave laws with paid time off, workers' compensation, and short-term and long-term disability benefits.
  • Compliance and Documentation :

  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of employee leaves, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local leave laws, including the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
  • Typical Education

    Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.

    Relevant Experience

    2+ years minimum experience in leave administration, benefits coordination, or a related HR function
