Shift Description : Fri 4PM-Fri 4PM

  • Board Certified / Board Eligible - REQUIRED BC preferred
  • ACTIVE MA LICSENSE - REQUIRED
  • No outpatient expectations
  • BLS - REQUIRED
  • ERCP certification is a nice to have but not a must

Practice Setting : Inpatient

Call Structure approx 1 : 4 Fri 4pm-Fri 4pm Floor / ED / ICU / emergent consults and endoscopies (when needed) Carry Beeper overnight Outpatient-TBD and will know more early next week

Reason for Coverage : Retirement

Dates of Coverage : Start mid Dec 2025 until we find perm placement physician

Clinical Areas : Adult, Hospital, Gastro, endoscopy

Onsite Lab? Yes

Onsite X-Ray? Yes

Will Outpatient Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine be Required? No

Average Number of Office / Clinic Patients Per Locum Per Day : unknown at this time if outpt coverage is required-will amend as soon as i know

Average Number of Hospital Based Patients Per Locum Per Day : 4-12 per day

  • Small Bowel Biopsy
  • Lower GI Endoscopy
  • Sigmoidoscopy
  • Colonoscopy
  • Liver Biopsy

    • Required Types of Upper GI Endoscopy :

  • with Biopsy
  • with Foreign Body Removal
  • with Fulguration of Bleeder (Cautery vs. Laser)
  • with Injection of Varices
  • with Banding of Varices
  • Diagnostic
  • Therapeutic
  • with PEG (Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy)
