The Role : Software Support Specialist (BBI, Inc.)

BBI, Inc.a trusted provider of municipal software solutionsis seeking a service-driven, tech-savvy Software Support Specialist to join our team. While this position is powered by gWorks, the role is employed by BBI, Inc., not gWorks.

How Youll Make an Impact

Youll play a critical role in supporting local governments by installing BBIs municipal software, troubleshooting issues, and training end-users. This role requires regular travel, direct client interaction, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a small, agile team.

Why This Isnt a General IT Role

This isnt your standard support desk job. Youll be hands-on with municipalities across the region, providing onsite installation, training, and long-term support to end-users who rely on BBIs software daily to serve their communities.

What Youll Bring

  • Associate degree or 2+ years of equivalent experience in a computer-related field
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-first mindset
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Experience training or supporting non-technical users
  • Familiarity with Windows (10- 11), Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher 2021 or newer)
  • Experience with SQL or network troubleshooting (LAN / WAN) is a plus
  • Prior experience with BBI municipal software is a major advantage
  • Willingness to travel regularly using a company-provided vehicle

  • Building strong relationships with municipal clients
  • Operating with autonomy and reliability in a fast-paced, field-based environment

    • Where Youll Work

    You will be in office Flowood, Mississippi. With some travel to local government offices. Standard hours are MondayFriday, 8 : 00 AM5 : 00 PM. A company vehicle is provided for travel.
