VP Of CMA

The VP of CMA provides strategic and operational leadership to all ambulatory primary care and specialty practices at Merrimack Health. This role is a critical clinical leadership position responsible for driving excellence in outpatient care delivery, aligning operations with hospital-wide goals, and fostering growth in specialty service lines. Working in partnership with the administrative dyad, this leader will co-own the strategy, operations, clinical quality, provider engagement, and patient experience across the ambulatory enterprise. At Merrimack Health, we are committed to pay transparency and equity. The base salary range is $250,000 to $400,000 annually, excluding fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Your final base salary will be determined based on your education, experience, licensure, and internal equity considerations. Offers are typically made below the top of the range to support future salary growth.

Education And Related Experience :

  • Required : MD or DO, board-certified in a medical specialty relevant to ambulatory care (primary care preferred), active medical license in MA.
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical practice and at least 3 years of leadership experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in physician leadership, preferably in ambulatory or multi-specialty settings.
  • Strong understanding of ambulatory operations, value-based care, and healthcare transformation.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and team-building skills.
  • Proven ability to lead through influence, navigate complex environments, and drive change.
  • Preferred : Advanced degree in healthcare administration, business, or public health (e.g., MHA, MBA, MPH).
  • Experience in a community hospital or integrated health system setting.
  • Familiarity with Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
