Data Visualization Analyst
The Data Visualization Analyst will support and evolve internal analytics platforms, Curve Analytics and DataCentre, by combining technical acumen with a strong understanding of commercial real estate. This individual will collaborate with brokers, researchers, and operations teams to prioritize data needs, guide data transformation, and deliver actionable insights.
It is also the responsibility of the Data Engineer not only to exhibit legendary customer service when communicating with tenants, prospective tenants, owners, and vendors but also to focus on productivity and results.
Position Essential Functions :
- Act as a product manager for the Transwestern Curve Analytics, DataCentre, and Curve Scribe platforms.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand the type of data and objectives.
- Ensure data is clean, transformed, and refined, maintaining accuracy and consistency.
- Design intuitive and engaging graphics, diagrams, maps, charts, and dashboards using tools like PowerBI or similar platforms. Prioritize clarity, accessibility, and effective communication by applying principles of design, color theory, and information hierarchy to enhance the overall user experience.
- Act as a liaison between corporate stakeholders, collecting requirements, defining essential data, and understanding customer needs. Extract useful information from the data and present it to decision-makers.
- Process data to identify trends, patterns, correlations, and outliers. Summarize major highlights and provide practical recommendations through visual storytelling.
- Ensure data accuracy, thoroughness, and factuality in graphical illustrations.
- Guide data engineers on transformation logic and data sourcing.
- Analyze usage patterns to inform dashboard and report development.
- Identify gaps in data and recommend new sources or metrics.
- Collaborate with Research Services to analyze market data and generate insightful conclusions.
- Work cross-functionally across business units to support business development and ad hoc requests.
- Perform other functions, as assigned.
Position Requirements :
A Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Finance, Economics, or a related field.24 years in commercial real estate as a researcher, broker, or operations analyst.Experience preparing pitch materials or supporting brokerage teams.At least 1-2 years of experience with Power BI or comparable business intelligence tools such as Tableau.Experience with DAX, or must have willingness to learn.Knowledge of Basic SQL is preferred.Must have experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and OutlookFamiliarity with commercial real estate data vendors (e.g., CoStar, Real Capital Analytics, RealPage).Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.Ability to write concisely and effectively.Client-oriented mindset with a focus on actionable insights.Comfortable identifying options and providing recommendations.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Ability to travel as necessary according to business needs.Pay Range : $70,000 - $100,000
