The Contra Costa County Employment and Human Services Department is excited to announce a recruitment for the position of Child Nutrition Assistant - Project

We are looking for someone who is able to :

Clean and prepare vegetables, fruits, and other foods for cooking and packaging
Operate tools and kitchen equipment according to prescribed safety standards
Follow established procedures to meet high standards of cleanliness, health, and safety
Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work
Use a computer to check emails on Outlook and complete timecards
Work in a fast paced environment
Comfortably drive a delivery van

What you will typically be responsible for :

Packaging meals for several sites

Preparing food items in large batches

Ensuring food deliveries from vendors are properly stored

Preparing ingredients following recipes and guidelines

Reporting equipment malfunctions for the purpose of notifying the supervisor of need for repair and / or replacement

Ensuring ingredients are tagged, dated and labeled, covered, stored, and rotated effectively

Being available to support with delivery to sites if needed
