Your new school

If successful as a Teaching Assistant, you will join a supportive primary school in the Tameside area of Manchester with a strong leadership team and a clear focus upon inclusion and equality. You will work as a Teaching Assistant within KS2 to support a child on a one-to-one basis as well as working with small groups to support with intervention work focusing upon literacy and numeracy. You will be required to work on a full time basis, 5 days per week.

Your new role

You will be required to work as a teaching assistant within KS2, supporting pupils inside and outside the classroom. You will have the opportunity to conduct intervention sessions for lower ability pupils with groups of up to 8 pupils. You will also work to support a particular child on a one-to-one basis. You will have strongmunication skills and be able to use your initiative to plan, prepare and deliver fun and engaging lessons. You will be dedicated to ensuring pupils achieve their best oues.

What you'll need to succeed

In order to be successful in a Primary Supply Teaching Assistant job you will need to have recent experience within a classroom setting in the last two years, either within a mainstream or SEND setting. You will need to be an approachable and patient teaching assistant who is able to embrace new surroundings and situations, whilst demonstrating a professional manor at all times. It is imperative that you have goodmunication skills as this is crucial when speaking to teachers and other staff in the school.
