Postdoctoral Fellow

VAI) has a position available for a Postdoctoral Fellow. The lab is interested in the discovery of molecular mechanisms of skeletal development and skeletal disorders, such as osteoarthritis and osteoporosis. The project this Postdoctoral Fellow can expect to work on is related to skeletal stem cell, aging, sumoylation, chromatin silencing, and stress responses. The lab is also developing a novel stem cell-based therapy for osteoarthritis.

Necessary Qualifications

• A Ph.D. graduate with a strong background in cell biology, biology, molecular biology or a related field in the basic sciences
• A detail-oriented researcher who thinks critically to effectively design experiments and solve complex research problems
• A strong ability to take initiative and work independently
• A collaborative, hands-on researcher who proactively shares knowledge and expertise with lab members and has an interest in helping junior lab members
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
