Position Overview

We are seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Hematologist-Oncologist for a 6-month locum tenens assignment in Western Washington . This role offers a flexible, 4-day workweek, strong support staff, and a rewarding mix of inpatient and outpatient duties — all with no procedural requirements and minimal call.

Job Requirements

Requirements

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology & Oncology – Required

Active WA license or IMLC LOQ – Required

Completed Residency & Fellowship – Required

BLS certification – Required

Clean malpractice history preferred

Responsibilities

Outpatient clinic schedule :

Monday, Wednesday & Thursday at primary location

Friday at secondary location

Tuesday off

Inpatient responsibilities at the main site (Tacoma) only

Patient volume : 16–20 patients per day

Rotating weekend call , maximum 1 in 4 weekends (Friday PM – Monday AM)

Shift hours : 8 : 00 AM – 5 : 00 PM

No required procedures; bone marrow aspirations are optional

EMR : Epic

Patient Visit Allotments

New patient visits : 1 hour

Oncology & Hematology follow-ups : 20 minutes each
