Swank Construction Company, LLC is looking for a Wall / Wire Saw Operator to join our Virginia Beach Saw / Seal Division. Position Summary :

The Concrete Saw Operator position is responsible for the efficient and precise operation of wire saw machines to cut materials according to specifications. Tasks will include setting up and calibrating machines, monitoring cutting processes, and ensuring the quality of the finished products. Specific tasks include core drilling, flat sawing, wall sawing, and wire sawing.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities :

• Core drilling, flat sawing, wall sawing, and wire sawing.
• Set up wire saw machines by installing and securing cutting wires, adjusting tension, and configuring machine settings.
• Calibrate machines to achieve accurate cuts based on project specifications.
• Load and unload materials onto the wire saw machine.
• Secure materials in place to prevent movement during the cutting process.
• Operate wire saw machines to cut materials such as stone, metal, or concrete.
• Monitor the cutting process to ensure precision and adjust machine settings as needed.
• Inspect finished products for quality and make any necessary adjustments.
• Caring for company equipment / machines by performing routine maintenance on wire saw machines, including cleaning, lubricating, and replacing worn components.
• Report any malfunctions or issues to maintenance staff for repair.
• Keeps job site clean of all unused / waste materials and ensures all equipment is stored in a safe and secure
• Ability to use or learn how to use different equipment / hand and power
• Ensure the practice of safety standards in accordance with company policies and OSHA.
• Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Willingness to perform and learn different aspects of the wall / wire saw operator position.
• Perform all other tasks and follow instructions as directed by.
