POSITION SUMMARY
The SR Project Manager (SPM) position is responsible for the development of Capital Projects including Sustaining, ES&H, Expense and CRCT. The SPM is responsible for implementation of management directives and goals including engineering, design & drafting, electronic data management, construction management and assistance to the Refinery during unplanned outages. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor of Engineering required in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or equivalent experience.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
20 years of progressive refinery project experienceMinimum of 10 years’ experience working as a Project ManagerResponsible for executing projects up $100mm USDFluent in project management procedures, and execution practicesDemonstrated knowledge of refinery construction codesAdvanced knowledge of refinery processing requiredExtensive knowledge of engineering systems, standards and proceduresDemonstrated ability to analyze problems and prioritize tasksAbility to address and handle confidential issues and materials on a regular basisAbility to accept changes and quickly align resources to effect outcomesProficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Primavera, and estimating tools requiredFluent in English, oral and written requiredMAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES
Responsible for the development of assigned Capital Projects including Sustaining, ES&H, Expense and Crude Trucking and Pipeline.Participate in the development of annual capital projects budget.Participate and lead development of project cost controls and execution of projectsParticipate in plant outages including planned turnarounds.Provide leadership, guidance and support to project management, engineering, drafting & design personnel.Participate in the development & implementation of CVR project procedures and systems.Maintain regular communication with corporate executives and refinery management to coordinate projectsParticipate in functional and cross-functional initiatives as assignedIn cooperation with other groups(HR) recruit, train and mentor project & engineering staffEXPECTED RESULTS
