Summary : A Good Start Preschool in Columbia, MO has a full-time preschool teacher position available. You will have the opportunity to work in a friendly environment and be part of an enthusiastic, dedicated team. Our philosophy is to develop the whole child. This development takes place through social skills enhancement, academic learning, daily devotions (nondenominational Christian Bible stories are taught), and creative play time. It is our goal to prepare each child for Kindergarten and to help them develop into confident children. For over 20 years, A Good Start Preschool has provided exceptional child care in Columbia Mo.

Job Description : Be a lead teacher in one of our classes in and assist on the playground. The person selected for this position must , love children, can handle tense & stressful situations when working with children, and is willing to learn and be a part of a employee friendly environment.

Requirements :

  • Some early childhood education experience
  • Sensitive and mature individual
  • Ability to relate well to both children and adults
  • Must pass a criminal background search

Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following :

  • Change diapers and help with toilet training when needed
  • Supervise children and keep them safe during inside and outside play times
  • Work as part of the A Good Start team for the safety of all the children
