The procedures permitted may be performed only : on adult patients who are not critical care patients; and

under the proximate supervision of a practitioner. “Proximate supervision” means a situation in which an individual is : responsible for directing the actions of another individual; and

in the facility and is physically close enough to be readily available if needed by the supervised individual.
