Sheltering Arms Institute is seeking a Therapy Support Specialist to join the team. This position is full-time, 32 / hours a week. The Therapy Support Specialist provides quality, comprehensive, and timely assistance to supervisors and therapists with various delegated tasks including but not limited to ordering and management of equipment as prescribed by therapist, assisting with scheduling, coordinating technology maintenance needs, and communicating with team members to improve patient care and efficiency of workflow.
Responsibilities include :
- Takes full ownership of ordering and tracking equipment, ensuring accuracy from request through delivery.
- Manages relationships with DME suppliers to support efficient operations.
- Pro-actively monitors equipment status and notifies involved parties within and outside of SAI. Manages issues by identifying solutions such as securing loaner equipment, escalating delays, or contacting alternative vendors to prevent service interruptions.
- Checks insurance verification to ensure equipment is ordered from the correct vendor covered by the patient's plan.
- Assists with supply tracking and ordering.
- Responsible for proper use of the company purchasing card (P-Card), including documenting purchases, maintaining receipts, and completing timely and accurate reconciliation.
- In the event of technology malfunction, coordinates repair with appropriate parties involved to include vendors, biomechanical engineering, and other SAI team members. Keeps SAI team members up-to-date regarding status of out-of-order technology.
- Performs reports and audits as directed by supervisor.
- Completes miscellaneous administrative tasks such as copying, emailing and interoffice mailings, etc.
- Performs other duties as assigned and / or participates in special projects in order to support the mission of Sheltering Arms Institute and departments.
Qualifications and Skills :
Prior experience working in healthcare and / or as an administrative assistant preferred.Strong time management skills preferred.Excellent interpersonal skills and solid organizational skills.Experience with reviewing and interpreting patient insurance benefits for DME coverage.Experience managing purchasing card (P-Card) transactions and performing accurate monthly reconciliation.Experience in ordering supplies and DME equipment, maintaining inventory levels, coordinating with vendors, and ensuring timely replenishment to support operational efficiency.Education / Certifications :
