As a Security Guard - Government Site Patrol in NEW YORK, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As an Allied Universal Security Officer in a government location, you will play a key role in supporting a secure environment by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. Pay Rate : $21.20 / Hour

Job Schedule :

What You’ll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies, as well as responding appropriately to emergency situations as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with appropriate personnel as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Observe and report security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual occurrences according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter disruptive activity and / or provide reassurance to employees, visitors, and / or the public.
  • Assist with access control, monitoring entry and exit points as required by the site's procedures.

  • Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Six or more months of security-related experience is required.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Proof of completion may be required by the client.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
