Overview
A private family office seeks a highly skilled Senior Accountant to oversee personal financial reporting, accounting operations, budgeting, and cash management. This individual will be a trusted point of contact for the family, working alongside a collaborative network of internal staff and external advisors.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting, Reporting & Budgeting
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions; reconcile accounts and prepare monthly reports
- Develop and manage annual budgets; deliver cash flow and performance forecasts
- Analyze financial results and provide actionable insights to leadership
- Prepare consolidated investment performance summaries
- Implement and enforce financial controls, policies, and procedures
- Track charitable giving and private foundation disbursements
Accounts Payable & Cash Flow Management
Oversee day-to-day payables for personal and household accountsReconcile multiple bank accounts and ensure accurate transaction codingMonitor liquidity, anticipate funding needs, and execute fund transfersTax Support & Transactional Oversight
Liaise with external tax advisors to support annual and quarterly tax filingsCoordinate complex personal financial transactions (e.g., property acquisitions)Communicate with attorneys, wealth advisors, insurance brokers, and other professionalsQualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fieldMinimum of 6 years progressive accounting experience; experience in a family office or with high-net-worth individuals strongly preferredCPA designation or equivalent credential preferredFamiliarity with personal income tax, estate and gift tax considerations is advantageousProficient with QuickBooks, Excel, and financial reporting toolsExceptional attention to detail, analytical skills, and organizational abilityStrong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to maintain confidentialityProactive, self-directed, and comfortable managing multiple priorities independentlySchedule & Compensation
