Police Officer Position

The Eaton Police Department is on a 12 step pay plan and placement is dependent on qualifications and experience.

Nestled in the heart of Eaton, the Eaton Police Department is a 24-hour operation with officers on duty around the clock to assist citizens and is proud to serve the community of Eaton, Colorado. The Police Officer position supports the Town Police department in the prevention of crime, protection of life and property, enforcement of laws and ordinances, conducting investigations, and providing assistance and information to the public. All employees are required to perform work in a manner consistent with and exemplary per the Town of Eatons Employee Handbook.

The Police Officer position has no direct reports. This position reports to the Corporal or Sergeant and is under the general supervision of the Chief of Police.

High School Diploma or GED required. Postsecondary education preferred but not required. Colorado P.O.S.T. certification required. Applicants hired outside of Colorado will be required to provide a Provisional letter from Colorado P.O.S.T prior to date of hire.

Must successfully pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screen. Must comply with organizational and departmental policies.

This position is full-time and scheduled for 40 hours per week. This position requires rotating shift work.
