Associate Director Mental Health

Work Shifts

9 : 00 A.M - 5 : 00 P.M

Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and oversight of Bellevue's Extended Care Unit (ECU)
• Collaborate with leadership of multiple disciplines to administer ECU program objectives
• Supervises staff assigned to departmental activities and provides professional direction.
• Participates in the development of policies, standards, rules and regulations pertaining to mental health services.
• Facilitate and manage accreditation, licensure surveys
• Participates in staff meetings and conferences; attends meetings with key leadership officials and external representatives.
• Other projects and duties as assigned by the Chief of Psychiatry

Minimum Qualifications

1. Possession of a valid license and current registration to practice in a mental health discipline issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED); and

2. Three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in a health care setting or regulatory agency administration, with an emphasis on development and evaluation of mental health delivery services; one (1) year of which must have been in an administrative, managerial or supervisory capacity.
