Mitigation Lead Technician

Location : Waco, TX

Job Purpose : The Mitigation Lead Technician is responsible for performing hands-on restoration work on properties affected by water, fire, mold, or storm damage. This role is ideal for certified technicians who are detail-oriented, safety-focused, and passionate about helping clients recover from property damage.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Damage Assessment : Inspect affected properties to determine the scope of damage and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Restoration Execution : Perform water extraction, drying, mold remediation, fire / smoke cleanup, and structural repairs.
  • Equipment Operation : Safely set up and operate specialized restoration equipment, ensuring proper maintenance.
  • Documentation : Maintain accurate records, including daily logs, moisture readings, and photos, using industry-standard software.
  • Client Communication : Serve as the main point of contact for clients during restoration, providing updates and addressing concerns.
  • Safety Compliance : Follow all safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.

Qualifications :

  • Experience : 13 years in the restoration industry with hands-on experience in water, fire, or mold mitigation.
  • Certifications : IICRC certifications in Water Damage Restoration (WRT) and Applied Structural Drying (ASD) required.
  • Skills : Proficiency with restoration equipment and software (e.g., MICA, Xactimate). Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Physical Requirements : Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, work in various environmental conditions, and perform tasks requiring bending, climbing, and standing.
  • License : Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

    • Compensation :

  • Hourly Rate : $22$26 per hour, based on experience and certifications.
