Job Description
Participate as a cross-functional team member to help resolve product assembly issues, providing technical details, documentation, support, and guidance
Identify Improvement Projects in the Assembly operation.
Lead capital project planning and execution in assembly.
Direct, evaluate, and confirm product design and changes
Create and update required process documentation
Create specifications, recommendations and designs for tools, fixtures, gages, equipment, and processes.
Specify gaging techniques.
Strive for operational excellence through line balance, and station efficiencies
Lead and support the execution of change point management processes
Coach junior engineers in the cross functional teams
Keep abreast of latest technical developments in automated assembly.
Lead creation and updates to process flow and PFMEA
Qualifications
BS Mechanical Engineering Degree with 5+ years Manufacturing Engineering experience in high volume assembly environment - Automotive industry preferred
Must have experience with Torque, Press, and Gaging equipment
Proven mechanical aptitude for analytical problem solving
Six Sigma Black belt certification, Project Management Professional (PMP) desirable
Skilled in CAD with the ability to learn and use new CAD programs. AutoCad and Pro-Engineer experience.
Able to work in the USA without sponsorship, now or in the future.
