The clinical technology administrator is a key technical expert responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and integration of clinical systems, devices, and applications. This role involves providing technical support, training, and troubleshooting for clinical staff, while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive project objectives and maintain patient data integrity. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented problem solver with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering high-quality patient care through technology.
What you'll do
- Maintains the integrity and availability of clinical systems, including performing preventive maintenance, OS patching, and inspections, while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Troubleshoots and resolves complex technical issues, documenting operator-induced problems and follow-up corrective actions, and collaborating with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues efficiently.
- Develops and delivers training programs for clinical staff, including formal in-service training, on-the-job training, and user-specific guidance on proper and safe use of clinical systems and devices.
- Partners with IS security to conduct risk assessments, implement medical device security standards, and ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures, while staying up-to-date with emerging threats and vulnerabilities.
- Collaborates with the EPIC team to plan, implement, and troubleshoot device integrations, ensuring seamless interoperability and data exchange between clinical systems and electronic health records.
- Provides technical leadership and expertise on clinical technology projects, coordinating between departments and stakeholders to drive project objectives and ensure successful outcomes.
- Recommends and manages inventory of replacement parts and accessories for clinical systems, ensuring optimal system performance and minimizing downtime.
- Resolves customer complaints and collaborates with cross-functional teams to identify and address root causes of technical issues, improving overall system reliability and user satisfaction.
- Stays current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies, applying knowledge to maintain and improve clinical system performance, security, and usability.
Required qualifications
Five years of experience in one or more of the following areas : biomedical technology, network administration in a large enterprise environment, server administration in a large enterprise environment, or application support involving mobile, desktop, server, or medical device technologies.Additional information
