About the Role :

Under the supervision of the VP Engineering the Manager Engineering will drive the development maintenance and enhancement of a digital fraud detection platform. Telecommuting is available from anywhere in the United States based on manager approval.

You Will :

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to help deliver engineering products to identify and protect Remitly and its customers against remittance fraud attacks.

Plan gather requirements architect and implement rollout of experimental and actual applications.

Balance system quality and feature velocity through flexibility within the team.

Develop operational and engineering excellence roadmap and execute the roadmap to ensure appropriate technical priorities to reach short- and long-term goals.

You Have :

Position requires a Masters degree in Computer Science Computer Engineering Information Systems or a related STEM field and 3 years of experience with developing reliable and scalable applications and services.

2 years of experience with launching digital features and scalable infrastructure that meets customer needs;

2 years of experience with developing enhanced user experiences by redesigning workflows prototyping new features and ensuring continuous integration;

2 years of experience with functional and automated integration testing;

2 years of experience with structuring and scaling Agile development processes;

2 years of experience with leading technical teams including recruiting strategy sourcing structuring loops interviewing and closing candidates;

2 years of experience with mentoring engineers on technical skills through design and code review and leading performance evaluation and career development;

2 years of experience with architecting production scale services;

2 years of experience with protecting financial data with Hardware Security Module (HSMs); and

2 years of experience with C# Confluence Git Java JIRA object-oriented programming languages PHP Python scripting languages and SQL.

Compensation Details. The starting base salary range for this position is typically $286270.00 - $291000.00 per the U.S. Remitly employees are shareholders in our Company and equity is part of our total compensation plan.
