Salary Range : $21.00 To $29.47 Hourly

About the Team

The Intensive Outpatient (IOP) team is a multi-disciplinary team serving children ages 9-17 not responding to a lower level of care or stepping down from a higher level of care. The program includes group, individual, and family therapy, skill-building, and other supports as clients step-down from higher levels of care or step-up from outpatient therapy. The program also includes an eating disorder track to benefit an underserved segment of our community’s youth. This program is provided afterschool during the academic year.

Alaska Behavioral Health is a National Child Traumatic Stress Network site and training hub for childhood mental health and trauma treatment.

What You’ll Do

  • Work closely with master’s-level providers to develop and conduct skill development sessions in group & individual settings which cover topics such as social skills, emotion regulation, problem-solving, coping strategies, and life skills.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team to assess client needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Participate in trainings to learn and implement transdiagnostic approaches and eating disorder specific treatment.
  • Document client progress, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely in electronic health records.
  • Participate in team meetings, case conferences, and treatment planning sessions.
  • Support clients in crisis situations and assist with de-escalation techniques as needed.
  • Transport clients to and from the program, as needed.

  • Full-Time, Non-exempt
  • Pay Range : $21.00 to $29.47 hourly; Depending on Experience.
  • Eligible for up to $6,000 in incentive with the average being $2,500.

  • What We Need from You

  • Bachelor’s degree in a human-services field such as social work, psychology, or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Previous experience working with children or adolescents in a mental health setting preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and collaborate with a diverse team of professionals.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to adapt to the changing needs of clients and the program.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and client-centered care.
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
