Receiving Clerk

Department

Shipping and Receiving

  • Managing the flow of materials in and out the company’s warehouse or facility
  • Using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment move and / or to load and unload trucks
  • Scanning and sorting incoming and outgoing stock
  • Accepting deliveries, inspecting items for damage or discrepancies, and verifying quantities against packing slips or purchase orders
  • Organizing and placing received materials in designated storage areas, ensuring proper labelling and inventory accuracy
  • Preparing items for shipment, including packaging, labelling, and creating shipping documents.
  • Creating and maintaining shipping and receiving documents, ensuring proper recordkeeping
  • Note This is a starting position on the Shipping and Receiving team. This is not for a Team Lead or Supervisor position. The Shipping and Receiving clerk does not have any direct or indirect reports to them.

Requirements : Required :

  • Certification or 2 + years' experience in operating a forklift
  • Proficiency in using computers, scanners, and other technology for inventory management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lift 50lbs
  • Ability to stand for at least 8 hours
  • Knowledge in use of basic hand tools
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently with minimal supervision, follow written and oral instructions
  • Attention to detail and demonstrate problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well with a team
  • High school diploma or G.E.D
