Position Summary
The Associate, Capital Markets is responsible for supporting the Capital Markets team with all aspects of capital raising and client service.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
CAPITAL RAISING
- Assist with completion of prospective investor requests (RFIs, RFPs, DDQs) across the firm’s equity and debt fund offerings
- Maintain Berkshire’s RFP software as the team’s primary user to support capital raising efforts, which includes (i) coordinating with internal stakeholders to execute the collection, writing, editing, and maintenance of new content, (ii) implementing an organized audit process to ensure internal stakeholders’ routine review of existing content and (iii) actively managing and organizing a comprehensive library of existing content
- Assist with the preparation and updating of marketing materials and investor deliverables, such as presentations, one-pagers, PPMs
- Assist with ad-hoc due diligence requests within the provided deadlines
- Assist with preparation for investor meetings and site visits
- Assist with the compilation of industry and competitive research, including monitoring websites for notable investor, prospect, competitor and real estate market activity
- Assist with tracking prospect pipelines, existing investor information, etc. in Berkshire’s Customer Relationship Management (“CRM”) software
CLIENT SERVICE
Assist in preparation and coordination of Berkshire’s Annual Investor Conference and other regular fund meetingsAssist with the formatting and branding of various materials in accordance with company brand guidelines to be used with current and prospective clientsCommunicate with multiple internal business groups to coordinate the production of deliverables in a timely mannerINTERNAL SUPPORT
Assist with tracking current investment information and corporate facts and figuresCollaborate with all members of the Capital Markets team & offshore resourcesDrive technological advancement and adoptionConsistently demonstrate use of tact and discretionKnowledge / Experience :
3+ years of real estate private equity experienceClear understanding of fund management and private funds structure, preferably with knowledge of real estate investment concepts / metricsTeam player with an aptitude for organizing, prioritizing and managing multiple priorities using critical thinking and problem solvingEfficient in ascertaining the most effective way to complete a task, handling unexpected difficulties, and prioritizing correctly to meet deadlinesDemonstrated self-confidence with senior managementDemonstrated mature conduct in high pressure and sensitive situationsDemonstrated multi-modal communication style that effectively engages every stakeholderExcellent verbal and written communication skillsDiligent attention to detail and accuracyEmbraces a collaborative and inclusive approach to teamwork and problem-solving, consistently delivering high-quality results with a strong work ethic and dedication to excellenceProficiency and willingness to adopt new systems and processesDevelop productive working relationships with all team members including internal clients and external third partiesDemonstrated high level of ethics and integrity with a straightforward and honest approachTechnical / Educational Requirements :
