Strategic Planner
Stellar Solutions is seeking a Strategic Planner. This role provides a unique opportunity to develop mission strategies and operational plans support to the customer.
The successful candidate will support a high performing team of government and contractor professionals in deliberate and crisis planning processes to satisfy space support requirements for national, DoD, combatant command warfighter customers. The successful candidate will have experience with space operations, joint planning, and space mission / product support. The successful candidate will also have demonstrated the ability to operate in a dynamic and high energy environment with constantly changing tasking and priorities.
Role / Responsibilities / Qualifications
Successful applicant will support strategic and operational planning activities such as but not limited to the following :
- Providing current plans liaison, coordination, and integration of operational planning activities with operational sites and mission partners including support requests into plans and orders
- Preparing and maintaining planning documents, plan annexes, and appendices
- Developing and managing approval coordination of orders and guidance and intent products that guide the execution of crisis and contingency operations.
- Reviewing and supporting development of operational-level concepts of operations for capabilities and operations and associated implementation documents.
- Coordinating and providing logistical support for contingency operations planning meetings and workshops with internal and external stakeholders.
- Perform on-site liaison tasks : coordination of enterprise orders with site leadership and outage / maintenance forums; support daily battle rhythm forums, provide joint tactics, training, and procedures training to staff, support exercise and wargame development and execution, provide backup to current planners at other locations, and respond to site leadership as needed for ongoing enterprise level planning and orders activity.
- Work will be primarily conducted at in Denver Colorado at the customer site, with potential for travel within the United States and potentially overseas to support program execution activities
Required Qualifications and Skillsets :
Requires practical knowledge of job area obtained through advanced education combined with experience. Graduate Degree or equivalent with 8 years of prior related experience; Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 10 years of prior related experience; or no degree and a minimum of 14 years of prior related experienceRequires U.S. Citizenship AND current TS / SCI ClearanceRequires current CI PolyAdditional Desired Skillsets :

Department of Defense and National space systems and associated products / services delivered to end customersSpace operations, environment, and command and control conceptsTasking, Collection, Processing, Exploitation, Dissemination conceptsBasic orbital mechanicsThe typical pay range for this position is USD $170,000 - $185,000 per year, total package including a significant profit-sharing retirement savings plan. Individual pay is determined by many factors including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual performance bonus and a full benefits package.
Deliverable(s)
Generate and contribute to technical products (i.e. briefings, plans, orders, exercise development) using information systems as directed by the Government. The nature of this work will, at times, require a quick response to stringent deadlines and will always require a standard high quality and professional deliverable.
