Requirements :

Job Requirements : Must have a record of longevity in and commitment to veterinary medicine with a minimum of 3 years' work consecutive experienceMust possess good communication skills and a positive attitudeMust be able to work independently and without direct supervisionMust be efficient with anesthesia, venipuncture and IV cathetersExperience in performing ophthalmic diagnostic tests is a HUGE plus!Qualified candidates must be available for some evenings / weekends / holidays for rotating on call dutiesEducation and Physical Requirements : College or college-equivalent education as required in becoming a Certified Veterinary Technician (if applying as a CVT, which is not required for this position)Dependable attendance is requiredMust be willing to work long or irregular hours under pressure conditionsThe ability to walk, bend, stand, squat, or reach constantly during a minimum 8-hour dayMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs.Must be confident in handling and restraining animals during exams and proceduresResponsibilities / Duties include but are not limited to : Assist doctors in exams and surgeryEducate clientsPerform blood draws and placement of cathetersRecord in patient files accuratelyMonitor patients under anesthesiaParticipate in daily cleanliness of our clinicsCompany Benefits include : Paid vacationPaid holidaysCompetitive wagesMedical, dental, vision, dependent care FSA, and short-term disability benefit optionsVarious voluntary benefit offerings, including hospital indemnity, accident, critical illness, etc.401K with employer matchCE opportunitiesUniformsDiscounts on services and medications for employee petsPlease respond with your resume and cover letter.
