Department : Operations

East West Tea is seeking a talented, passionate, and experienced Director Operations to join our Manufacturing Operations team!

The Director Operations will to be responsible for the strategy, planning, and effective execution of Yogi’s manufacturing operations including production, warehouse logistics, customer service, training, and maintenance. Overseeing daily plant operations, ensuring a safe work environment, making and handling of quality products, and collaborating on continuous improvement.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN :

Operations Leadership

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of our people
  • Demonstrate world class leadership through honoring and trusting people, fostering collaboration through intentional and mindful actions, and committing to and celebrating excellence
  • Integrate long-term company goals with the manufacturing operations strategy and plan
  • Create strategies to support manufacturing demands for new market opportunities. Collaborate cross-functionally to bring new ideas, projects, and products to market
  • Establish KPIs and rigorously monitor results to drive success and to improve operational predictability, reliability, and financial performance

    • Continuous Improvement

  • Inspire world class performance and excellence with our teams
  • Provide time, space and resources for problem solving, testing, experimenting, training, and creative development related to improvement
  • Keep abreast of new technologies and application and provide a vision for technical improvement and innovation across the plant
  • Drive continuous improvement in sustainability and environmental stewardship, including LEAN / Six Sigma principles through both incremental operational improvement and project-based initiatives

    • People Leadership and Team Development

  • Lead a staff of 5-7 direct reports and oversee all manufacturing staff
  • Coach, train, and engage team members through effective cascading of goals, visual performance boards, and ongoing communications of plant changes and performance
  • Understands and supports all regulatory standards for all manufacturing processes as set forth by the relevant regulatory authorities; including, but not limited to GMP, FDA, OSHA, and HACCP

    • WHAT YOU KNOW AND HAVE EXPERIENCED :

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related field (business, engineering). MBA preferred
  • 7+ years directly managing the daily activities of a manufacturing function. Preferably in the pharmaceutical, supplements or health & natural food industries
  • Subject matter expertise in manufacturing from strategy through implementation
  • Expertise in LEAN manufacturing and process improvement. Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred
  • Leadership experience in managing large operations teams
  • Strong understanding of ERP experience
