  • Job Qualifications :

A high school diploma or equivalent, one or more years of experience working with adults in a health-care or social service setting, sensitivity to the needs of disabled adults from various socioeconomic backgrounds, awareness of and ability to execute basic transfer techniques, and ability to lift moderate weight without injury.

  • Specific Responsibilities :
  • Greet and assist visitors, caregivers, providers, and community members professionally and courteously.
  • Assist participants with Activities of Daily Living and document accordingly.
  • Support clinical staff in implementing participant care plans and report concerns or updates.
  • Help program nurses collect medical information, such as vital signs, and carry out treatments or therapies.
  • Lead or assist in therapeutic activities both in the program and in the community.
  • Engage participants therapeutically to promote quality care.
  • Observe and report any changes in participants' health or mental status.
  • Provide initial de-escalation and behavior management interventions for safety.
  • Report incidents accurately and promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness in activity, dining, and rest areas.
  • Participate actively in staff meetings and trainings, providing input and following through on goals.
  • Prepare activity areas and supplies for scheduled activities.
  • Assist with meal preparation, serving, and cleanup as needed.
  • Document participant attendance.
  • Assist participants with transportation and mobility as assigned.
  • Work as scheduled, committed to providing high-quality care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
