LPN / Licensed Practical Nurse - QuickCare Clinics 60%-90%

The University of Iowa Health Care is seeking a patient-centered 60-90% Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to work in ou r QuickCare (Walk-in) Clinics. Our Licensed Practical Nurses are responsible to help a wide variety of patients from newborn to geriatric, ensure patient care standards are met, and provide access to additional care options. This position is part of a dynamic and fast-paced environment, rich with opportunities for learning and growth. We utilize a multidisciplinary approach to patient care that encourages teamwork between multiple disciplinary teams to provide the most comprehensive care to our patients. Standard shifts will be primarily 10 - 12 hour shifts, but could vary based on clinic need.

Duties to include :

• Provides nursing care under the supervision of a registered professional nurse.
• Participates in the development of nursing care plans and in the implementation of therapeutic program for patients.
• In less complex situations, may assume responsibility for directing and supervising assigned nursing personnel. In more complex situations, performs as an assistant to the registered professional nurse.

Percent of Time : 60%-90% (24-36 hours per week)

Schedule : Variable hours between 7 : 00 AM - 7 : 00 PM, rotating holiday and weekends, no on-call time, and primarily 10 - 12 hour shifts.
