Assistant Civil Structural Designer

Overview

Assistant Civil Structural Designer role at C&I Engineering. This full-time position is part of the Civil / Structural team and focuses on developing designs for structural layouts in facilities such as refineries, distilleries, and consumer packaging facilities.

Description

C&I Engineering is an employee-owned, full-service engineering design firm providing engineering / design / project management and procurement services to various clients.

Responsibilities Include

Create structural steel, reinforced concrete, and site design drawings.

Use 3D modeling software to design structures. (CADWorx is preferred).

Work with AutoCAD and / or MicroStation.

Assist others in gathering field information with supervision.

Check own work for completeness before submitting it to leads.

File plots and checks prints in the project discipline file.

Minimum Requirements

2-year technical degree with a specialization in computer-aided drafting and design, plus a minimum of 5 years of related experience, or a bachelor’s degree in engineering with 3 years of relevant experience.

Driver’s license

Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
